For four decades, Sight and Sound has stood as Fredericton, New Brunswick’s go-to for cost-effective video services.
My journey into the broadcasting world began at the tender age of 13, where I dipped my toes into the realm at a charming New Brunswick radio station, juggling school and weekend responsibilities. As I wrapped up my education, I dove deeper into the broadcasting domain, embracing various roles at esteemed radio stations such as CJCJ Woodstock, CKCM Grand Falls Newfoundland, and CFNB (Radio Atlantic) Fredericton. From donning hats like Program Director, Announcer, to Music Director and Production Manager, I’ve done it all.
In 1991, I became a part of CBC Radio and Television in Fredericton, where I undertook a variety of roles, from Radio Master Control Technician to Information Morning Technician/Director, and even as an Announcer and Producer. Subsequently, I shifted my focus to CBC television. In this capacity, I honed my skills, particularly as an ENG video editor and as an Assistant Director for CBC-TV’s nightly news. My tenure with CBC culminated in my retirement in 2014.
Over four decades back, my passion for photography blossomed into Sight And Sound. What started as weekend wedding photography soon morphed into videography, courtesy of the growing demand for wedding videos.
As the years rolled by, Sight And Sound broadened its horizon, adding an array of services like 8mm film digitization, videotape digitization, CD-DVD replication, and the digital transformation of photos and 35mm slides. On a side note, I also edit videos for our MyNewBrunswick.ca web site and its YouTube Channel.
I’m eager to weave magic together. Let’s chat about what you envision. Do reach out!
